When in London why not take a nosy about in Jimi Hendrix's home?London is calling all Jimi Hendrix fans to this unique and special event where Hendrix fanatics will be able to see his former home. The Jimi Hendrix at Handel House Museum in London event will be held between the 25th August and 7th November at the Handel House Museum, a place where Hendrix lived next to in the 60s and a place where George Friedrich Handle lived 200 years prior.
Jimi Hendrix also known as James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix rose to fame with the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience formed by Chas Chandler in 1966. The ‘Are you Experience’ album was well received in the UK and only The Beatles ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ stopped the new comers from getting the No.1 top spot. Later in 1969 Jimi Hendrix got the recognition he was hoping for in his early career back in the USA with The Jimi Hendrix Experience and later became a rock legend, known as the greatest electric guitarist.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see rare memorabilia from the rock star’s high profile life as well as a guided tour around his home. The museum’s exhibit will focus on the rise to fame and his life after supported with a vast variety exhibits to analyse the parts of Jimi Hendrix’s career.
Tickets cost: £ 5.00 for adults, £4.50 for concessions and £2 for children
Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday 10am -6pm
Thursday 10am – 8pm
Sunday 12pm-6pm
