Spitalfields: The home of one of London's music eventsThe summer is filled with festivals, but one of the most renowned is coming up on the 11th – 26th June – Spitalfields Festival in the East End of London!
The first festival began back in 1977 and has produced a grand total of 43 festivals to date attracting audiences of over 350,000. In 2008 the first Spitalfields Music was created and has grown rapidly ever since.
Whether you like to listen, learn or participate there is something for everyone, whatever taste in music you may have from baroque and folk to contemporary and jazz. Spitalfields will also play host to talks and debates, walks and visits as well as workshops to enjoy.

If the sound of pianos is more your forte, you are in luck as Spitalfields welcomes back Melvyn Tan. The internationally recognised pianist will be producing a solo act for your pleasure this year. William Howard will also be returning to the festival with a solo performance.
