Eric Clapton at The Royal Albert Hall

Clapton Playing at Hyde Park 2008After more than three years since he last visited the Royal Albert Hall one of the biggest names in blues guitar history is returning back for eleven shows at this ledgendary venue.

It all begins on Saturday the 16th of May and runs till the 31st of May, the support for the night comes from the blues band, the Arc Angels. The main act needs little introduction, Eric Clapton who was recently added to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the third time as a member of the Yardbirds, Cream and as a solo artist.

Viewed as one of the greatest guitarists of all time and although his music style has changed over his career it has always been based around blues with the two songs that he is known most famously for being 'Layla' which he recorded with Derek and the Dominoes and 'Crossroads' a song by Robert Johnson.

With a career stretching as far back as the 60's the ever popular Eric Clapton is performing at the Royal Albert Hall, in his last performace in 2005 he returned with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker reunited as Cream for a series of concerts which later was released on CD and DVD and was hugely popular.

Eric Clapton recently promoted to CBE is a truly unmissbale event at one of the best venues The Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London.

It is sure to be a full house so you will need to book your tickets early to see the best guitarist play at the best music arena in London!
